Every loose particle comes out first, with the fibers brushed up so the vacuum can reach what has been trodden in. Shampooing over grit just turns it into mud.
What it is
Vacuuming only takes what is sitting on top. Spills, salt, mud and the grime that gets walked into carpet live down in the fibers, and the only way to get them out is to shampoo and extract — lift the soil with a cleaner and agitation, then pull it out of the car with hot water and suction.
It is the difference between a floor that looks vacuumed and one that looks new. Carpets, floor mats, trunk liners and cloth seats all get it; leather does not, because leather is cleaned and conditioned instead.

Questions, answered
Usually a few hours, depending on the weather and how much fabric the car has. Extraction pulls most of the water back out, which is what keeps drying time short — humid days take longer.
Most food, drink, mud and salt comes out completely. Dye, ink, bleach marks and anything that has permanently discolored the fiber may only lighten — send a photo and you'll get an honest answer before the day.
No — and you wouldn't want it. Leather is cleaned with a pH-neutral cleaner and conditioned. Shampooing is for carpet, mats and cloth.
Not necessarily. We just need access to the vehicle and somewhere to park it. Plenty of customers leave the keys and come back to a finished car — we'll text you when we're done.
No. The van comes with its own water and power, so we can work at your house, your apartment complex or your office without plugging into anything of yours.
